P1 application planner

Keep official admission status, opening, confirmed deadline, published follow-up dates and calendar reminders for shortlisted private and DSS schools in one family plan.

Quick answer

Turn a shortlist into an actionable application plan

After a school is selected, its official 2027/28 status, opening and confirmed deadline appear in the local plan. Family stages remain separate from official status: marking a school as submitted never changes whether the school is officially open.

Stored only in this browser

No child or application data

The tool stores only public school names and family-stage labels in this browser's local storage. It has no account or shortlist upload and does not ask for a name, address, date of birth, application number, result or assigned interview time. Clearing site data removes the local plan.

School actions

Schools are ordered by their next confirmed application action. A school without an exact date keeps its official status and source; events and old-cycle dates never fill the gap.

Private and DSS direct applications only

This planner excludes government and aided schools, which use Education Bureau Primary One Allocation. Historical 2026 lists cannot become a family 2027/28 choice list before the official school nets, choice codes and dates are published.

How to use the planner

  1. Build a shortlist from the finder or rankings, then add schools to the family plan.
  2. Check official status, application opening and confirmed deadline first. Do not treat an announced school as open before its start time.
  3. Use family stages for considering, preparing, submitted and complete. These labels stay local.
  4. Open a static deadline reminder in iPhone or another calendar when available, and recheck the school source before submission.
  5. Keep assigned interviews, application numbers, payments and results in secure family records.

Frequently asked questions

Does the P1 application planner send my shortlist to a server?

No. School choices and family stages are stored only in this browser's local storage. The planner has no account, submission form or network upload. Clearing site data also removes the local shortlist.

Can a family stage change a school's official admission status?

No. Considering, preparing, submitted and complete are private family labels. Open, announced, closed and unpublished statuses continue to come only from verified official admission sources.

Why are government and aided schools not in this planner?

This tool covers direct applications to 65 current private and DSS schools. Government and aided schools use Primary One Allocation and require the official 2027/28 school-net lists and timetable, which must not be mixed into a direct-school planner.

How do I add a confirmed deadline reminder on iPhone?

Use the static deadline-calendar link on a selected school card. A link is provided only for an exact general application deadline confirmed by an official source. Recheck the school source before submitting.
