School discovery research

Hong Kong primary school rankings

Parents often use unofficial rankings to create an initial shortlist. This section supports that practical need with reusable official open data, disclosed weights and auditable components, while keeping admission dates separate.

Current edition

2026 Top 100 official-profile research index

The index evaluates 495 schools with official 2025 Primary School Profiles and publishes the Top 100 using disclosed weights for continuity, teaching capacity, campus resources and operating history. It is neither an Education Bureau ranking nor an academic-results league table.

Rankings by school type

Start with the correct admission route

The three category views filter the same Top 100 index without recalculating scores. Private, DSS and government/aided schools then connect to their correct admission route, fees, verified deadlines or POA references.

What P1Tracker ranks

The current order compares only quantifiable structural signals in the official profiles: school continuity, teaching capacity, campus resources and operating history. It excludes public examination results, third-party banding, popularity, applicant numbers, acceptance rates, fees and advertising, so it does not identify the best school or predict fit.

Licensed open dataEvery scoring field comes from the official 2025 Primary School Profiles.
Visible weightsEvery school shows all four component scores and underlying metrics.
Admission actionsThe index then connects to application tracking, POA references and official sites.

Editorial boundary

P1Tracker does not describe Band 1 primary schools as an Education Bureau classification and does not alter weights, scores or positions for advertising, partnerships or school requests. The research index supports discovery and comparison; admission status and deadlines still update only from official admission sources.
