Quick answer
St. Stephen's College Preparatory School's 2027/28 P1 application closed on 26 June 2026. The 10 July student-portfolio task applied only to existing applicants and was not the application deadline. The school says that about 800 shortlisted application numbers will be published in mid-September and emailed to families. Interviews take place on 9 and 10 October, followed by parent-child interview invitations from mid-to-late October.

These are published general arrangements. A school notice sent directly to an applicant controls any personal interview, document or registration task.
The application is closed
The official 2027/28 online application ran from 1 to 26 June and is closed. This page helps existing applicants manage later stages; it does not mean that applications reopened, and an interview, shortlist or portfolio date is not another application window.
A family that did not complete the online application by 26 June should check the official admission page or contact the school through its formal channel about any other arrangement. P1Tracker does not infer a valid late application from a previous cycle, a waiting-list claim or a form that remains technically reachable.
10 July was a portfolio deadline
All existing online applicants had to mail or submit a student portfolio by 10 July. This was a post-application document task, not a replacement for the 26 June application deadline. The tracker, calendar and guide keep the two event types separate so that a later document date cannot make applications appear open.
The portfolio date has also passed. Families that submitted it should retain delivery evidence, application number and school confirmation securely. Do not upload a child's portfolio, identity document, application number or personal notice to P1Tracker or a public group.
Mid-September is not an exact result date
The official wording says that the school will select about 800 applicants from the online application and portfolio, publish their application numbers on the website in mid-September, and notify families by email. This is an approximate period and must not be rewritten as an exact 15 September result date.
From mid-September, check the official admission page and application email, including junk folders. “About 800” describes the published overall process; it is not an individual shortlisting probability.
9 and 10 October are school-wide interview dates
The school states that interviews take place on 9 and 10 October. Each applicant's date, time and reporting instructions still come from formal notice. Hold both days provisionally and keep only the applicable slot after assignment.
The official description includes an interview of about 30 minutes in Cantonese, Putonghua and English about the applicant's life and experience, with listening, comprehension, synthesis, organisation and expression among the stated areas. These are published directions, not a confidential question list or a guaranteed preparation formula.
A parent-child interview needs a new invitation
The school will select suitable applicants from the first stage and begin inviting them and their parents for interviews from mid-to-late October. This is an approximate start period for invitations, not an appointment for every first-stage applicant, and no single exact date applies to all families.
After the first interview, wait for a new formal invitation before creating a personal parent-child appointment. Public calendars should contain general exact dates only; personal invitation times belong in the family's private calendar.
What remains unpublished
The current official admission page does not state one exact admission-result or registration date for every applicant. Those fields remain unpublished instead of being inferred from October interviews, a previous cycle or parent discussion. Follow the result, response and registration requirements in personal notice.
Parent checklist
- Keep online-application, portfolio-delivery and school-confirmation evidence.
- From mid-September, check the official shortlist and application email.
- Confirm the personal 9 or 10 October appointment only after notice.
- After the first stage, wait for a separate parent-child invitation.
- Keep result and registration dates unpublished until the school confirms them.

This guide offers date-management, document and family-planning advice. It does not represent the school or guarantee admission. P1Tracker does not publish confidential questions, estimate an applicant's admission chance or present a previous-cycle date as confirmed for 2027/28.
