Quick answer
Parents registered for ePOA and linked with iAM Smart+ can submit Discretionary Places and Central Allocation choices and view results online. Signing with iAM Smart+ is not the final submission step: the parent must still confirm and submit, then retain the electronic record. Do not submit duplicate paper and electronic applications.

What the electronic platform handles
A parent registered for the Primary One Admission e-Platform and linked through iAM Smart+ can submit a Discretionary Places application, submit Central Allocation choices and view relevant results. The platform is an official submission channel, not a different allocation system. Eligibility, the one-school discretionary rule, Parts A and B, and registration rules remain the same.
The Education Bureau publishes electronic and paper periods annually, and their opening dates may differ. There is no one generic application date to assume. P1Tracker will separate electronic and paper windows after the official 2027/28 timetable is published.
Account and binding preparation
- Register iAM Smart+ early and keep identity information and email consistent.
- Activate the ePOA parent account and bind the applicant child under Education Bureau instructions.
- Use the parent's own secure device and do not give another person login or signing authority.
- Scan or photograph supporting documents completely, with legible names, address and full pages.
- If one parent manages several applicant children, verify each child's application number separately in the same account.
Signing does not mean submitted
Education Bureau parent guidance identifies signing only with iAM Smart+ without subsequently selecting confirm and submit as a common error. After signing, return to the process, confirm and submit, and wait for a successful state and a record that can be retained.
Keep the confirmation page, email, application number and school-choice record. These contain child and family personal data and should not be sent to P1Tracker, posted publicly or given to a third party claiming to improve allocation.
Do not duplicate paper and electronic submissions
Choose one officially permitted channel for the same application and complete it. Do not submit paper merely because an email did not arrive immediately. Check platform status and official troubleshooting guidance first; if success remains unclear, ask the Education Bureau or designated school directly.
Successful electronic submission does not cancel in-person registration. After receiving a discretionary or Central Allocation place, a family must still register at the school on the specified dates with its required documents.

Common questions
Questions parents ask
Is an application complete after signing with iAM Smart+?
Not necessarily. The parent must still select confirm and submit, verify that the platform shows success and retain the electronic record.
Can a family submit both electronic and paper versions for safety?
Do not duplicate the same application. Check the platform or ask the official channel if success is unclear.
Must a family register after viewing a result in ePOA?
Yes. A successful family must still register at the allocated school on the specified dates.

Editorial boundary
P1Tracker converts Education Bureau rules into planning checklists and does not represent the Bureau or any school. It does not predict an individual result, encourage a false address, or present an old-cycle date, unofficial ranking or reported minimum score as a 2027/28 guarantee. Formal forms, personal notices and the latest Education Bureau announcement take precedence.
