These are published general arrangements. A school notice sent directly to an applicant controls any personal interview, document or registration task.

Before the application opens

The official 2027/28 timetable was published before the application system opened at 09:00 on 15 July. Publication and submission are different states: families could read the requirements and prepare files in advance, but an earlier information session did not mean that applications were already open.

Because the application window lasts only a few days, file names, formats, photographs and payment arrangements should be checked before submission. Build the document list from Ying Wa's own official requirements rather than copying another school's checklist. The live application system controls if a field or format changes.

Submit and preserve evidence

On entering the system, first confirm that the page still identifies the 2027/28 P1 cycle rather than an old cycle or event registration. Check the parent email address and telephone number on every relevant step because later interview communication may depend on them. Do not wait until 18:00 on 19 July to begin uploading; allow time for payment, file-size or traffic problems.

After submission, keep the confirmation page, confirmation email, payment record and application number in the family's secure records. Do not send them to P1Tracker or a public group. If the system permits edits, retain the final submitted version so family members do not work from different copies.

Plan for the first interview period

The school states that first-round interviews begin on 22 August. That is a school-wide starting date, not every applicant's appointment. Create a reminder to check the official notice and add the personal appointment only after it arrives. Travel, caregiving and work arrangements can be considered in advance without buying services that claim access to confidential questions.

Reasonable preparation focuses on age-appropriate communication, listening, natural responses and a stable routine in an unfamiliar setting. An interview format or assessment item is confirmed only when the school publishes it.

What remains unpublished

The exact second-round timetable is not yet published. Keep that field unpublished instead of carrying forward a previous-year date. A weekly reminder to review the official 2027/28 page is useful; an applicant-specific notice should replace any general planning placeholder when received.

Common mistakes

• Treating the 11 July information session as application opening.
• Marking applications open before 15 July because the deadline was already announced.
• Starting documents or payment on the evening of 19 July.
• Recording 22 August as the child's confirmed appointment.
• Filling the second-round gap with a previous-cycle date.
