Primary One admission status definitions

A school status describes its application window, not whether another event or result date exists.

Open

The official opening date has arrived and the confirmed deadline has not passed. If an official source states a rolling or limited wait-list arrangement without a deadline, the note explains it instead of inventing a closing date.

Announced

The official 2027/28 application window is published but starts in the future. An information session, event registration or admission document does not open applications early.

Partial info

Some official 2027/28 information exists, such as a process, interview month or application method, but no confirmed application deadline is available. This differs from not published because part of the current-cycle arrangement is known.

Closed

The official deadline passed or the official page says applications closed. A later document task, interview, result or registration date does not reopen applications.

School closed

A primary source confirms that the primary school ceased operating, or current Education Bureau records and the former school number no longer contain it. This is operating identity, not an ordinary application closing. A historical page remains for roster correction.

Not published

The current official-source check found no verifiable 2027/28 P1 timetable. This does not prove that the school has no intake; it means there is not enough official evidence to publish a schedule.

Why the distinction matters

Families first need to know whether they can apply now and when submission ends. Treating an event, old cycle, result or document date as an application window causes incorrect action, so application evidence alone controls status.
